By Filing a Personal Injury Claim, You Can Recover Compensation

Experiencing a serious injury from a crash on Business 80 often leads to hospitalization and high medical expenses. The injured party may be forced to miss work, use paid leave, and cover medical bills out of pocket. When someone else’s actions result in your injury, it can be challenging and overwhelming. However, the driver who caused the accident and was negligent can be required to cover those losses. Personal injury claims can help you recover the following damages:

  • Medical expenses: If you are injured in an accident, you can seek compensation for all your related medical costs, including hospital stays, doctor visits, and physical therapy sessions. With the help of a personal injury lawyer, you can ensure that these financial burdens are covered. If your injury continues into the future, those costs can be calculated and added to the settlement.
  • Lost wages: The inability to work due to your injury can also be compensated. If you cannot return to your job or become permanently disabled, you can recover the difference in wage or salary until you have retired as a part of your settlement.
  • Pain and suffering: Beyond physical pain, injuries can cause significant emotional and psychological distress, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Compensation for pain and suffering can include reimbursement for PTSD treatment as well as other emotional traumas.
