December 2018 Elk Grove Community Event Calendar
From the cozy winter nights spent at home sipping hot chocolate by the fireside to the exciting holiday festivities, December has so much to offer. Many of us are reunited with our loved ones on Christmas, and just a few days later we find ourselves outside in awe at fireworks on New Year’s Eve. During the days of the month that are not nationally recognized holidays, you may not be sure how to spend your time. Look no further – I have a short list of upcoming community events in Elk Grove that will be fun for anyone.
Wine Barrel Ring Wreath Workshop

Time: 6:00 p.m.
Location: 10686 W. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, CA 95757

Due to popular demand, McConnell Estates Winery will be hosting another wreath-making class. The class will be taught by the wonderful instructor Zina Sheya. Bring an old friend and your favorite bottle of wine to this seasonal class that helps participants make a beautiful holiday wreath. Whether you give the wreath away as a gift or use it as decor for your front door, everyone will be asking where you got it! Light nibbles and wine will be available in class.

It’s hard to capture the unique beauty of an old-fashioned Christmas, yet the Elk Grove House and Stage Shop has been doing it successfully for the last 12 years. There will be nine rooms styled in Victorian-themed holiday decor. Bring your kids so they can visit Santa as well as the indoor cookie decorating station. Professional photos with Santa Claus will be available to purchase for $15. The admission fee goes towards supporting the Elk Grove Historical Society.
