Modesto Event Calendar August 2017
The city of Modesto will be featuring entertaining events to enjoy with friends and family during the last month of the summer season. If you are unsure of how to spend the rest of your summer, read about some of these featured events listed below.
Veteran’s Foundation Fundraiser Dance (Weekly)
The Veteran’s Foundation Center holds a weekly dance every Thursday morning in honor of our Veterans. The dance is a fundraiser event that is a great way to meet new people, have a lot of fun, and support our Veterans all at the same time.
When: August 3, 2017, from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm
Location: 3500 Coffee Road, Modesto, CA 95355
Admission: $5 at the door
1st Friday Street Faire
Do you enjoy street food, good music, games, and craft vendors? Then come out to the 1st Friday Street Faire at the 10th Street Plaza to support local artists and business owners and have a great time.
When: August 4, 2017, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Stanislaus County PAL 25 Year Gala
Everyone is invited to join the Stanislaus County PAL in celebration of their 25 years of serving their youth. The western-themed event will be held at the Martin G. Peterson Event Center. All attendees are encouraged to wear their cowboy boots and come to enjoy a BBQ dinner with live music, dancing, and cocktails. All of the ticket proceeds will go towards maintaining the cultural, educational, recreational, and social programming for the youth of Stanislaus County.

Modesto Fiji Festival
The St. Stanislaus School will be holding the Modesto Fiji Festival for all to join. The festival will be featuring food vendors, retail vendors, and a beer garden. The event will have a live DJ and a Kids Zone for the younger crowd to enjoy.

Del Rio Country Club’s Premiere Car Show
Do you love going to car shows? Then come out to the Del Rio Country Club to check out some classic cars with your friends and family. The event will also hold an awards ceremony and raffle at 2:00 pm. Buffet lunch is $20 and is free to children ages 12 and under. All of the event proceeds will benefit the First Tee of the Central Valley.

5th Annual Fallen Heroes Car Show
Have you had trouble recently in locating a car show to attend with your loved ones? Then come out to the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Training Center to attend a car show in honor of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. The event will be featuring a BBQ, raffle, music, and K9 demonstration. All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Peace Officers Memorial Group of Stanislaus County.
When: August 19, 2017, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm

Cars and Coffee Modesto
The city of Modesto is notorious for its monthly Cars and Coffee event. The event features over 4,000 domestic and imported vehicles that meet along the Historic Cruise Route of 10th Street and 11th Street during the morning hours. Sam and Dave’s Market along I Street will be serving coffee, donuts, and other breakfast goodies. So if you have had a hard time looking for a monthly car event to attend, then come out to Modesto every 4th Sunday of the month with your friends and family.
