Dixon Car Crash
A tragic crash occurred on Wednesday, August 3, 2016. A man from Sacramento passed away at the age of 50.
What Happened?
According to California Highway Patrol personnel, the fatal accident occurred in Dixon, California, on eastbound Interstate 80, when the car driven by the crash victim hit a truck parked on the shoulder of the highway.
Reports from authorities indicate the crash took place at 9:55 PM, near the Kidwell Road exit. Escalante was driving a 1997 Honda when, according to reports, his car drifted off the freeway and onto the shoulder, where an empty Ford F-650 bobtail truck was parked and unoccupied. The crash victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Victim Identity
The Solano County coroner was contacted just before 10:30 PM. The accident scene was contained by authorities on the right shoulder of the freeway.
On Thursday, The Solano County Coroner’s office identified the deceased driver as Jaime Escalante.
