Bring Your Pet to Dog-Friendly Vacaville
The travel website Visit Vacaville wants everyone to know that the town is exceptionally dog-friendly, so if you are planning a visit to the area, be sure to bring your pet. Many businesses throughout the city display a paw sticker, which lets visitors know that the shop or restaurant welcomes furry friends. We have listed below a few dog-friendly Vacaville businesses that are noted to be particularly hospitable to pets and their owners.
Places to Shop and Eat with Your Pet
The businesses below have made exceptional efforts to attract dog owners.
- Pawsh Place. Located at 218 Dobbins Street in downtown Vacaville, this is a pet boutique as well as a veterinary clinic. You can buy doggie treats from the gourmet bakery at the same time your pet has a check-up. It also offers “play-care” services for your dog. The business is open Monday through Friday.
- The University of Beer. Located at 196 Nut Tree Boulevard, Suite F, this is the place to take your dog to lunch. Not only does this establishment have a wide variety of human food and beer options, but on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., they offer a “Dogs Eat Free” special. A free bowl of food for your dog accompanies the purchase of any regularly priced sandwich, burger, or wrap entree. You must be seated on the patio and your dog must be with you in order to enjoy this offer.
- Sweet Pea’s Pet Boutique. Located at 891 Alamo Drive, and open seven days a week, Sweet Pea’s is a small, family-owned business where you can buy fresh, organic food and treats for your dog. At the same time, browse the on-site garden and nursery to purchase organic produce and houseplants.
Vacaville Dog Parks – Let Your Dog Run Free
Sometime during your day filled with exploration of all the dog-friendly Vacaville shops and restaurants, it would be a good idea to let your canine friend run off some energy with off-leash time at one of the city’s dog parks.
Pena Adobe/Lagoon Valley Park
Located at 4681 Pena Adobe Road, this 470-acre park includes a 30,000 square-foot fenced dog park. The area has water, shade, and trash receptacles. There is an entrance fee.
Centennial Dog Park
In 2019, Vacaville got its second city-sanctioned dog park when Centennial Dog Park opened in June of that year. It includes separate fenced spaces for small and large dogs. The park also has drinking fountains, shade structures, gated entries, and ADA-compliant concrete pathways. Centennial Dog Park is located at 479 Browns Valley Parkway. Its central location makes it easily accessible to many Vacaville residents.

Vacaville Dog Bite Lawyer
Hello, and thanks for visiting our legal blog. My name is Ed Smith, and I am a Vacaville, California dog bite lawyer. Most of our staff own dogs. We love our pets. We also know that in the absence of a responsible owner, a dog can bite and cause serious injuries. Dog bite cases can be very complex and involved. With serious bites, there is usually permanent scarring. There is often nerve damage which can cause permanent dysfunction. The person who was bitten can also experience a form of PTSD, which requires treatment. We take dog bite cases seriously. If you have suffered injuries because a negligent owner could not control their pet, call us for compassionate, free, and friendly legal advice at (707) 564-1900 or (800) 404-5400.
