Motorcycle Rider Injured in Crash Where Driver Fled the Scene
On November 16, a driver fled the scene of an injury accident in Sacramento involving a motorcycle rider. The collision happened around 3:34 p.m. along southbound Walerga Road just south of Galbrath Drive. The vehicle involved in the collision was a white Honda Accord, according to officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Authorities Seeking Hit-and-Run Driver
Officers found the driver of the three-wheeled motorcycle lying on the side of the road in a grassy area. A tow truck was called to remove the motorcycle, which exhibited front-end damage. Information was not released on whether the rider was transported to a hospital. The CHP traffic crash unit is investigating to uncover the cause of the collision and is searching for the hit-and-run driver.
After a Driver Fled the Scene of an Accident
As a law firm, we recognize the challenges of recuperating from a severe injury, particularly when the consequences of the ordeal may be prolonged. That’s why we make every effort to track down the person responsible when the driver fled the scene and hold them accountable for the harm they inflicted. Our track record is impressive, and we might be able to achieve the same result for you. Suffering an injury is tough enough. You shouldn’t have to bear the brunt of someone else’s misdeeds. Furthermore, injury attorneys don’t require payment upfront. You pay nothing unless we win your case.
If the Driver Fled the Scene, Compensation May Be Recoverable
Every case is different when it comes to compensation for accidents. If you have been injured, you may be able to recover from it:
- All medical expenses incurred from your accident, including out-of-pocket costs, can be recovered. These include hospitalization, doctor’s bills, surgeries, tests, medications, rehabilitation, and medical appliances. Your injury’s ongoing expenses are calculated into your settlement if they’re associated with it.
- When a patient suffers a serious injury, they may be unable to work and will not receive their wages. Aside from the wages, other job benefits may also be recovered, such as compensation for pensions, bonuses and insurance benefits. An injured party who has to accept a lower-paying job is compensated for the difference in salary. Those who suffer a permanent disability may receive compensation until they have reached retirement age.
- Physical pain and suffering are not the only costs that can be compensated to the injured party; psychological and emotional trauma can also be compensated. Expenses related to treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder can be recouped, which is common among those who’ve been in an accident.
Uninsured/Underinsured Auto Policies Can Cover Injuries
An uninsured/underinsured auto policy can be used if the hit-and-run driver cannot be found. If the injured party does not have this policy, but another family member does, there is an option to use theirs instead. There will be no impact on the future policy rates as a result.
