Investigation Underway Into Cause of Solo Vehicle Roseville Collision
Drivers were asked to stay away from the area as an investigation was conducted to determine why it occurred. The deceased man’s name will not be released until the family is notified by the coroner’s office.
Causes of a Solo Vehicle Roseville Collision
The cause of a single-vehicle fatality is not always driver error. Here are a few other causes:
- Defective auto parts: There is a possibility that the tires on the vehicle are defective. Another cause may be a problem with the driver’s brakes. Consequently, they are unable to slow down or stop in time to prevent a fatal accident. In these cases, the family is entitled to pursue legal action against the manufacturer. A product liability lawsuit in California does not require the plaintiff to prove negligence. Use of the product only requires that it be used in accordance with its original design.
- Negligent road maintenance: Problems with roadway design or maintenance can lead to a solo vehicle Roseville collision. When a driver hits a pothole or upheaval in the road, overhead lighting is poor or signage is misplaced, the driver can end up losing control. There is only a six-month period to file a government claim, so getting assistance from an attorney may be beneficial.
- Fleeing driver: When a motorist hits and runs, it can cause another driver to lose control and cause a solo vehicle Roseville collision. It is necessary to locate the motorist who fled before filing a lawsuit. An injury lawyer can investigate to determine if a fleeing driver caused the crash, potentially locate them and hold them responsible for the fatality.
