El Dorado Highway Accident Results in Minor Injuries
A two-vehicle rear-end collision in Folsom on July 2 caused minor injuries and blocked the number one lane. The accident occurred on westbound U.S. 50 at the Folsom Boulevard off-ramp shortly before 1:00 p.m. between a Toyota Solara and a Toyota Tacoma pickup. When California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers arrived at the scene, they discovered both vehicles in the center divider and a refrigerator in the roadway.
Investigation Being Conducted to Determine Cause of Highway Accident
One driver advised he dropped his cellphone and rear-ended the pickup and went across the lanes. However, a witness to the accident reported that a refrigerator came off one of the vehicles, and that was what led to the collision. An investigation into the cause of the accident is underway by CHP traffic detectives to determine fault and how the crash occurred.
Determining Fault in a Car Accident When Stories Conflict with Each Other
When two drivers are in a highway accident, it can be difficult to determine who is at fault. If both parties give different accounts of what happened, then the evidence has to be pieced together to determine who is liable for the damages. Some of that evidence can include traffic surveillance videos, accident reconstruction and witness statements.
Injury Lawyers Have the Resources to Determine Liability in an Accident
In many cases, injured parties may need help from an experienced injury lawyer to determine liability in an accident. Injury lawyers are familiar with laws related to automobile accidents and other forms of negligence. Accident attorneys also have access to a wide range of resources that can be used in determining liability.
They can provide legal advice regarding the types of claims that could be brought against those responsible for the highway accident. By allowing an injury lawyer to review the details of an accident, they can help to identify who is legally liable for the damages.
In addition, they can provide their clients information about what type of compensation may be available. Having the help and guidance of an injury lawyer can greatly increase a person’s chances of recovering damages in an accident.
Protecting a Client’s Rights And Building a Strong Case
Ultimately, injury lawyers are trained to identify liability in a highway accident and protect the rights of injured parties. They have the resources necessary to build strong cases on behalf of their clients. Injury attorneys understand how difficult it can be for individuals to navigate the legal system and ensure that their rights are protected. With their help, many people can recover the compensation they deserve in an accident.
