Accident on Beech Avenue Claims Life in Electric Bicycle Crash

An electric bicycle crash resulted in the death of a rider on September 19 in the Orangevale area, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Beech and Elm Avenues. An officer representing the CHP’s East Sacramento office stated that their preliminary investigation revealed a collision between a southbound electric bicyclist on Beech Avenue and an eastbound Chevrolet pickup on Elm Avenue. 

Electric Bicycle Crash Being Investigated to Determine Cause

The bicyclist, whose identity remains undisclosed, tragically died at the scene. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office is expected to release the victim’s identity after notifying family members. The crash did not result in any other injuries. According to authorities, neither alcohol nor drug impairment contributed to the collision. The CHP traffic crash unit is conducting an investigation.
