The evening performances at Elk Grove’s annual Strauss festival can be described as magical, romantic, and enchanting. Each year takes on a new choreographed story set to music from a live orchestra. This year, Strauss will be traveling through the beautiful lands of Italy, France, Russia, Germany, Austria, the USA, and England in marvelous music, gorgeous costumes, and traditional dances. If you are fascinated in traveling the world, take this opportunity to do it for free at Elk Grove Regional Park. DIY Framed Succulents

Succulents have become a common household plant, often grown and cared for as ornamental plants. Their unusual yet striking appearance has widely increased their popularity over recent years. If you enjoy their aesthetic and want to spice up your room decor, come get your hands dirty at this “do it yourself” succulent activity. It is free to RSVP online, but participants will be expected to pay a $45 fee that pays for the costs of succulents, a 13 inch redwood frame, green moss, cactus mix, and other supplies. Event organizers will also teach participants about the proper care for succulents.
Paints and Pizza For Kids

Admission: $15 tickets
In honor of summer, the Old Town Pizza and Tap House is hosting this paint night with a watermelon inspired theme. Bring your children and let them release their creative spirit while Paints & Pints founder, Liz Harrington, instructs them through the process of creating a masterpiece. Paint brushes and sea sponges will be provided at the event. Adults accompanying children have the option to sign up, but guardians must be present to supervise their child. There will be 18 rotating taps for any adults who would like to kick back and sip while they are there supporting their child’s inner artist.
