Elk Grove Has a New Assistant Police Chief
Bryan Noblett has been promoted to assistant police chief.
He was formerly a police captain for the Elk Grove Police Department. Noblett was hired by Elk Grove Police Department back in 2009.
Bryant Noblett’s Experience
Noblett came to Elk Grove Police Department from Lodi Police Department. He was employed there for over 24 years. He brings with him all the experience gained as a field training officer, narcotics detective, and patrol officer. His final title before leaving Lodi Police Department was that of lieutenant.
He says he is glad to be working in Elk Grove because it is closer to his home. In his new role, he will still be involved in overseeing field operations and police patrol operations. But now he will have more administrative duties such as budgeting and filling vacancies within the department. He also handles the emergency operations for the City of Elk Grove.
Vacancies with the Department
Currently, the department has seven officer vacancies to be filled. This year there are approximately 130 officers working for the Elk Grove Police Department.
Elk Grove Police Department has not had an assistant police chief since the 2009 retirement of Ed Kelly. Robert Lehner, Elk Grove Police Chief, says he is glad Bryan Noblett accepted the new position and is willing to take on the new responsibilities.
