Fair Oaks Chainsaw Accident
Authorities in Fair Oaks said a man passed away after a tragic workplace accident on Friday, July 29, 2016.
What Happened?
Metro Fire personnel said they received a call on the morning of Friday, July 29, 2016. When they arrived at the scene they found a man in an unresponsive state suspended nearly 50 feet up in a tree.
On the ground below, they observed a large puddle of blood. The first engine that arrived could not reach the man. A fire truck with an aerial ladder was soon dispatched to the scene.
Sadly, when rescue workers were able to reach the man he had no pulse.
Once out of the tree, Metro Fire personnel, reported evidence of a severe chainsaw cut on the man.
Cal-OSHA said the man was operating a chainsaw when a tree branch fell. The branch pushed the chainsaw into the man’s body and fatally wounded him.
We extend our condolences to the family and friends of the man who passed away in this tragic accident.
