Fairfield Multiple Vehicle Crash
I’m Ed Smith, a Fairfield auto accident attorney. Holiday travelers and commuters driving through Fairfield and Vacaville on Saturday noticed an increase in traffic, as a string of accidents brought many motorists to a stand still.
Woman Fatally Injured
In Fairfield, after a multiple vehicle crash, one woman was fatally injured. Several other people involved were sent to a hospital. The accident occurred on Saturday, July 2, 2016.
The collision was reported at around 11:25 a.m., near highway 12 and Beck Avenue as the three vehicles drove eastbound on Highway 12. Eleven people were involved in the crash, but only half of the individuals were transported to local hospitals with injuries.
Vacaville Accident
About three hours after the Fairfield collision, there was a two car accident in Vacaville, along interstate 80. The accident resulted in three people injured and hospitalized. One of the injured parties had to be extricated from the vehicle.
After receiving multiple reports of two vehicles colliding, two local Fire Department engines and two ambulances rushed to the scene just after 2:52 p.m. The cars were likely merging onto I-80 from the Monte Vista on ramp, explained Vacaville Fire.
One Victim Possibly Ejected from Vehicle
According to one witness, a woman was ejected from her car, though no one could confirm it.
All three people involved in the crash were taken to a nearby Kaiser Hospital to be treated for moderate injuries.
