Intentional Hit-and-Run Causes Fairfield Pedestrian Fatality Off Travis Boulevard

A Fairfield pedestrian met a tragic end after a hit-and-run driver repeatedly ran them over in the Solano Town Center’s northside parking lot on November 7. Around 11:30 a.m., a 25-year-old drove a white Dodge pickup truck into the pedestrian and proceeded to drive over them multiple times. After the horrific act, the suspect fled the scene, according to the Fairfield Police Department. 

Driver Detained in Fatal Fairfield Pedestrian Incident

The pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the site. A quick-thinking witness shadowed the fleeing vehicle and alerted the police, leading officers to intercept the driver on East Tabor Avenue. Authorities arrested him and identified the suspect based on previous encounters related to mental health issues. He faces murder charges and is currently held in Solano County Jail.
