Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident on Howard Road in Stanislaus County
According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal auto accident took place on Howard Road on the night of Saturday, June 25, 2022. The incident occurred around 10:45 p.m. on Howard Road in the vicinity of Frank Cox Road.

CHP traffic officers reported that a Chevrolet Cobalt was traveling eastbound on Howard Road, approaching the intersection. For unknown reasons, the vehicle allegedly veered off the roadway and struck a dirt berm.
Sadly, the driver and passenger were declared deceased at the scene of the car accident. Officials have identified the driver as 26-year-old Jazmin Vargas of San Jose and her niece, 15, of San Jose.
