Seeking Compensation and Justice in a Commercial Truck Accident Case

When a big rig crash leaves you injured or deprived of a family member, it is essential to act quickly. That is because the evidence necessary for proving fault and damages may be lost as time passes. Evidence may become unavailable, destroyed, or altered if not gathered and preserved immediately. Moreover, letters of preservation of evidence must be sent to commercial truck companies to ensure this does not occur. There is also a deadline for filing a case of personal injury or wrongful death from truck accidents. A two-year statute of limitations generally applies, according to CCP 335.1.

Navigating California’s wrongful death law may be challenging, mainly when the fatal incident involves a large commercial truck. With that in mind, speaking to an attorney with experience in handling wrongful death cases involving commercial vehicles is the best way to determine if you have grounds for a claim for damages under California law.
