Fatal Car Accident on Whitmore Avenue
Officials reported a fatal car accident on Waring Road and Whitmore Avenue near Hughson in Stanislaus County on the afternoon of Thursday, September 8, 2022. The crash was said to have occurred around 3:30 p.m. and involved three vehicles, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Details on the Fatal Car Accident on Whitmore Avenue Near Hughson
A preliminary report by authorities revealed that the three-vehicle collision involved a 2014 Nissan, 2006 Ford, and Toyota. The Ford was headed westbound on Whitmore Avenue with the Toyota following behind it, CHP traffic officers reported. At the same time, the Nissan was traveling eastbound on Whitmore Avenue.
For unknown reasons, the left front of the Nissan collided with the left front of the Ford. The impact of the collision allegedly propelled the Nissan into the path of a Toyota that was traveling behind the Ford. The right side of the Nissan was reportedly struck by the front of the Toyota.
Sadly, the Nissan driver was declared deceased at the scene. Officials have identified the decedent as 21-year-old Denair resident Andres Jimenez. The Toyota driver, a 47-year-old Hughson woman, was transported via ambulance to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto for treatment of serious injuries. The Ford driver, a 47-year-old La Grange resident, was uninjured, officials said. Additional information on the fatal three-vehicle collision was not immediately available.
