Sacramento Collision Fatally Injures 2
I’m Ed Smith, a Sacramento personal injury lawyer. A motorcyclist was involved in an accident with a vehicle during the evening hours of Thursday, April 20, 2017. Sadly, the collision caused the motorcyclist and a passenger in the vehicle to suffer fatal injuries.
What Happened?
A 45-year-old man was riding his motorcycle southbound along Power Inn Road in the vicinity of 53rd Avenue. At the same time, a woman driving a silver Honda Civic turned left from 53rd Avenue in front of the oncoming motorcyclist. Unfortunately, this resulted in a T-bone collision that caused severe damage to the motorcycle and the passenger side of the Honda.
The man on the motorcycle passed away at the scene due to the collision. The 18-year-old woman sitting in the passenger seat of the Honda Civic suffered major injuries and was transported to the hospital. Sadly, the woman passed away at the hospital. The condition of the other woman driving the Honda has not yet been released.

The following video demonstrates the severity of the vehicular collision. As you may view in the video, the motorcycle and the Honda Civic both sustained serious body damage due to the accident.
Two Lives Forever Remembered
Family members of the two victims placed flowers, candles and posters at the scene of the accident.
The stepdaughter of the 45-year-old man was unable to hold back her tears when she was interviewed by Fox40 News. She held a sign that had images of her stepfather holding his 6-month-old baby in his arms. The man left behind a family that will forever remember him in their hearts.
The parent of the 18-year-old woman described their daughter as being their “mini me” and always being by their side wherever they went. The young woman was a first-year college student that had high hopes of becoming a nurse. The parent has set up a GoFundMe account to cover the expenses of their daughter’s memorial.
