Fed Ex Truck Involved in Serious Vacaville Auto Accident
On Tuesday, December 1, 2020, two people sustained serious injuries as the result of a Vacaville auto accident. California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported the incident and stated that it occurred on Highway Interstate 80 on the western edge of the city. According to medical officials, neither of the injured individuals suffered life-threatening trauma. Additionally, this accident is currently being investigated by CHP officers.
Crash Details
The crash occurred at around 11:00 a.m. on the westbound side of I-80, not far from the Lagoon Valley Road overpass. CHP spokesman Dave Harvey told reporters that a sedan had been driving at high speeds heading west when it crashed into the rear end of a FedEx truck. The sedan lost control and spun out, eventually striking a parked Caltrans work truck on the southern highway shoulder.
Response
Police and other emergency response officials were immediately dispatched to the site and, upon arrival, determined that both occupants of the sedan had sustained significant injuries. Both individuals were transported to the Kaiser Permanente hospital in Vacaville to be given immediate medical care. Updates on their conditions have not been provided.

While police are actively looking into the crash, a full report regarding suspected collision causes hasn’t been provided so far. Additionally, police have not stated why they believe the sedan was traveling at high speeds.
