Five Killed in Head-On Collision in Fresno County
A head-on collision on Saturday, February 5, 2022, in Fresno County reportedly killed five and left two others seriously injured. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the incident took place around 4:30 a.m. at Marina Drive and Millerton Road near Millerton Lake and involved two vehicles.

A preliminary report by authorities revealed that a white Honda and a gray Hyundai were involved in the head-on collision that occurred a few miles away from Table Mountain Casino in Friant. Authorities indicated that at least five parties were killed in the car accident, and two others were left with serious injuries. The injured parties were taken by ground ambulance and medical helicopter to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno.
The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has recently identified the decedents as Ramandeep Sran, 48, of Kerman, Miguel Tijerina, 43, of Clovis, Marcelino Ramirez, 32, of Clovis, John Carlin, 28, of Fresno, and a 20-year-old Lemoore man. It was reported that Carlin, Ramirez, Tijerina, and the 20-year-old Lemoore resident were all coworkers at a local business. One of the parties injured in the car accident was related to Mr. Sran and said that they were cousins. Additional information on the fatal car accident in Fresno County was not immediately available as an investigation into the crash is ongoing by CHP traffic officers.
