Folsom Local Events During August

Summer is more than halfway over, and that means that you still have time to have fun in the sun! The dainty town of Folsom always has something going on, no matter if it’s day or night. Whether you live in Folsom or just plan on cruising through town for a weekend, you will have many choices to make about how to spend your days this August.

Food Truck Fundraiser

When: Wednesday, August 16th

Time: 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Where: 1801 E. Natoma St, Folsom, CA 95630

Admission: Free

This food truck event is going to have multiple vendors that know how to spice up the kitchen! As if the delicious food isn’t enticing enough, ten percent of the proceeds from this event will also be donated to a great cause: The Alzheimer’s Association. This fundraiser will be held at the Empire Ranch Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Folsom, and the ten percent of proceeds donated will be directly put towards the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. If you get there before 7:00 p.m., you will also be able to enjoy live music from Hot City! This fundraiser community event will have good food and a good cause, so come on by!

Toy Time

When: Thursday, August 17th

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Where: 411 Stafford St, Folsom, CA 95630

Admission: Free

The Folsom Public Library is hosting a family friendly event that would be the perfect play date for a parent and child. The Folsom Library will be handing out free puzzles, free toys/building blocks, and more from a large selection of early learning toys. Toy Time is a great way to bond with your kids, cousins, and newphews. Come by and enjoy the pure bliss of hanging out with your children while watching them play and learn at the same time!

Historic Folsom Farmers Market

When: Saturday Aug. 19th and Saturday Aug. 26th

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Where: 915 Sutter Street, Folsom, CA 95630

Admission: Free

Come over to the Historic Folsom Plaza for a Farmer’s Market that opens every Saturday with more than 40 unique vendors and farmers. There will be an extraordinary amount of certified organic fruits and vegetables that are locally grown by farmers, gluten-free baked goods, handmade soap/body care products, fresh seafood, and even vegan protein products. There will even be an onsite chair massage, so you can have a happy stomach and a happy body. Hope to see you out and about at the Farmer’s Market!
