Seriousness of Motorcycle Accidents
A Folsom motorcycle crash is especially serious because of the vulnerability of the rider. When a motorcyclist becomes involved in a collision with another vehicle, it can cause bone fractures, traumatic brain injuries, and others. While a motorcyclist has the right to recover compensation if the other driver was negligent, it isn’t easy without help from an injury lawyer.
Jury and Insurance Company Prejudice Against Motorcycle Riders
Unfortunately, motorcycle riders often face significant prejudice from juries and insurance companies. This bias can stem from a variety of misconceptions about motorcyclists. Juries, for example, may harbor the stereotype that motorcycle riders are reckless or inherently dangerous, leading to unfair judgments in the case of accidents.
Similarly, insurance companies may view motorcyclists as high-risk clients, often resulting in higher premiums and less favorable claim settlements for riders than other vehicle operators.
