Fresno Man Dies in South Lake Tahoe Motorcycle Accident
I’m Ed Smith, a Fresno motorcycle accident attorney. A Fresno man died from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident in South Lake Tahoe late last week.
Details of the Accident
The accident happened Friday, September 29 at 2:15pm near Twin Bridges. A 70-year-old Fresno man identified as Christopher Deboer was riding a 1986 Harley Davidson Ultra Glide motorcycle at the time of the crash. He died as a result of his injuries. His wife, 52-year-old Susan, suffered multiple fractures and lacerations.
According to witnesses, the bike was traveling eastbound on Highway 50 when it veered from the center of the lane to the right of the road. The bike then hit the guardrail and went down an embankment, throwing both riders off it and down the hill, according to the California Highway Patrol. Multiple witnesses stopped to aid the riders until paramedics arrived on the scene. Both riders were taken via helicopter to the Renown Medical Center in Reno.
The accident remains under investigation by the CHP, which asks any other witnesses to contact them with information. Our deepest condolences go out to Mr. Deboer’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
