Fresno Man Killed After Hit and Run Crash in Friant
A Fresno man was killed, and at least three others were injured after a fatal hit and run crash near Friant on the afternoon of Saturday, June 27, 2020. The car accident occurred at Old Friant Road and North Friant shortly after 4:00 p.m. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), two vehicles were reportedly involved in a traffic collision near the intersection. One of the drivers, identified as a 25-year-old North Fork man, allegedly drove away from the scene but returned a short time later. Officials said he did not have a driver’s license and arrested him on felony hit and run charges. Sadly, the driver of the other vehicle, 25-year-old Jesus Gonzalez of Fresno, was ejected from the car and pronounced deceased at the scene. At least one adult passenger and two juvenile passengers were transported to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment. Updates regarding the conditions of those hospitalized were not immediately available.
