This place serves up down-home California comfort food and that’s why we love it. Also, the founder, Mr. Brewster, was the first Postmaster of Galt.
Velvet Grill and Creamery
Another great place to eat is Velvet Grill and Creamery. This is a fantastic place to eat in between adventures. Our favorite dish is the chicken fried steak and eggs. When we are watching our weight — we stick to the vegetarian omelet. Your kids will really love the waffles and pancakes. Delish!
Whitewater Adventures
Numerous locations serve the entire region, including Galt. A favorite adventure in Sacramento (very close to Galt) is Whitewater Adventures. Other options are available, as well, including those in Galt directly. If you would like, you can even check out some natural sites yourself and go hiking or exploring.
Consumnes River Preserve
One such place is the Cosumnes River Preserve. Whether going on your own or with family, this is a beautiful location. It has nature all around, along with paths that you can follow. It is appropriate for all ages, as well. If you are here to take photos and to enjoy the vast nature of California, you will want to visit this preserve.
