An accident involving two vehicles occurred on the night of Saturday, August 26, 2017. The crash, unfortunately, caused a Galt man to suffer fatal injuries.
What Happened?
A 28-year-old man from Galt was driving his 1998 Cadillac westbound along Highway 88 in the vicinity of Liberty Road at approximately 10:29 pm. At the same time, an 82-year-old man was behind the wheel of his 2003 Dodge traveling eastbound along Highway 88 at an estimated speed of 55 miles per hour. For unknown reasons, the motorist of the Cadillac abruptly veered into the oncoming traffic lane and collided with the Dodge. The impact of the collision caused the Dodge to overturn.
Nature of Injuries
Authorities reported that the elderly man driving the Dodge was not injured as a result of the collision.
The man from Galt, who was driving the Cadillac, passed away due to his injuries. The identity of the victim has not yet been released by officials.
