Glenn County Crash Injuries Two
On Thursday, September 19, 2019, a Glenn County crash left two people with injuries. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the injured parties included one man from Redding and one from Orland. The Redding man was left with serious trauma while the Orland man suffered minor injuries. The collision remains under investigation.
Crash Details
The Redding man had been driving his 2002 Ford Explorer south along Interstate 5 to the south of the junction at Highway 32. The SUV reportedly drifted left and collided with a patch of oleanders in the median divide. The collision caused the Explorer to overturn and roll into the highway’s northbound lanes. While this was happening, the Orland man was driving a 2005 Ford Escape north on Interstate 5. As the explorer rolled into northbound lanes, the Escape collided with the overturned vehicle.
According to medical officials that responded to the crash, the driver of the Explorer was taken to the Enloe Medical Center so that he could receive immediate medical attention. Whether or not the Orland man received medical care was not reported. No other individuals were involved in the crash.
SUV Rollovers
While rollover accidents account for only about two percent of all auto accidents in the country, more than ten percent of fatal crashes involve an overturned vehicle. There are a few reasons that rollovers are so dangerous, but one of the main dangers is crushed roof injuries. When vehicle roofs aren’t strong enough to withstand the force of a rollover, it can leave people with serious injuries that could have otherwise been avoided. In these cases, the manufacturers of the vehicle can often be held liable for damages that people suffer during the accident.
Recovering After an Injury
After suffering a serious car accident injury, it can be very difficult to regain your health. Not only do injured people face a difficult process of physical recovery, but being in an accident can also have significant financial consequences as well. Often, people are unsure of how they will be able to pay for the surgeries, physical therapy, ambulance rides, and other medical expenses that they need. Furthermore, being injured usually affects people’s ability to work, and taking time away from your job can mean a sudden loss of income.
These financial concerns can make it difficult for accident survivors to know how they will be able to return to their normal daily lives. For this reason, it is important to reach out to a personal injury lawyer for advice about whether or not you may be able to recover compensation for your losses. In many cases, injured people are able to claim payments for a wide variety of damages, including both personal and financial losses.
