Granite Bay SUV Crash

I’m Ed Smith, a Granite Bay personal injury attorney. Crashes involving sport utility vehicles can sometimes be more dangerous then accidents involving smaller cars. Recently, an accident involving an sport utility vehicle in the Granite Bay community resulted in a rollover crash.

What Happened?

On July 18, 2016, an SUV crash occurred where a driver lost control of his vehicle while driving along Roseville Parkway near Wellington Way in Granite Bay.

Authorities indicated that the accident occurred around 2:00 AM and the car flipped and went off the road.

Statistics

SUV’s have a higher center of gravity than most other vehicles on the road, making them susceptible to rollover in many types of crash.

Small cars only have a 10 percent chance of rollover in a crash while SUV’s have a 14-23% chance of rollover.

SUV’s and pickups generally have a much higher chance of fatalities than do smaller vehicles.

The higher weight of SUV’s can cause more injury to both occupants of that vehicle as well as other vehicles involved in a crash.

If you are injured by an SUV or other type of vehicle, please give me a call.
