Grass Valley DUI Crash

This man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after he crashed his vehicle into a tree along a roadway in Nevada County. Unfortunately, this crash caused traumatic injuries to the two passengers riding with him in his vehicle.
What Happened?
A Grass Valley man, 23-year-old Deno Howard Mann, was behind the wheel of his 2008 Mazda. Mann was traveling southbound along Bennett Road in the vicinity of Brunswick Road at approximately 8:00 pm. Mann conducted an unsafe turning movement which caused him to lose control and crash into a tree.
Crash Injures Passengers
A 23-year-old Auburn man was sitting in the front passenger seat of Deno Howard Mann’s Mazda. This man suffered major head trauma due to the impact of the collision. He was transported to the Sutter Roseville Medical Center by air ambulance. A 24-year-old Rocklin man was sitting in the right rear passenger seat. This man suffered moderate head trauma and was transported by ground ambulance to the Sutter Roseville Medical Center. Mann was transported to the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley to be treated for minor facial injuries.
Authorities Arrest Driver
Deno Howard Mann was later booked that night into the Nevada County Jail on suspicion of driving under the influence. Mann has remained in jail as of Monday, January 30, 2017 under a $85,000 bond.
