A gravel truck injury crash south of Yuba City left a 77-year-old man hospitalized with major injuries on February 18. The incident occurred in the area of Highway 99 and Hull Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Authorities reported that the crash happened when a white SUV pulled out from the side of the road in front of the gravel truck. The truck could not stop in time and collided with the rear of the SUV, causing the vehicle to overturn. The elderly driver of the SUV was transported to the hospital with significant injuries, while the driver of the gravel truck was not hurt.

Police stated that neither DUI nor drugs are suspected as factors in the crash. The CHP traffic crash unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
