Rollover Accident Fatally Injures Fresno Family

Accident Details
A 1998 Ford Explorer was traveling in the middle lane southbound along Highway 99 in the vicinity of Herndon Avenue just before 3:00 am. For unknown reasons, the driver allegedly lost control of their vehicle, veered to the left and collided with the concrete center divider. The motorist attempted to veer the Ford to the right and overturned in the direct path of an oncoming vehicle. The vehicle approaching was unable to stop in time, resulting in a severe collision.
Was Anybody Injured?
The motorist of the other vehicle complained of neck and back pain following the accident. That individual was taken to the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for treatment. The three individuals inside of the Ford Explorer, unfortunately, succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The car accident tragically claimed the lives of a family of three, including a husband, wife and son. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office has released the identifies of the parties as 53-year-old Ismael Ramos Jara, 54-year-old Maria De La Cruz, and 22-year-old Jesus Anthony Jara, all residents of Fresno.

The cause of the accident has not yet been determined. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is in charge of the accident investigation.
