Linda Multiple-Vehicle Crash Occurs on North Beale Road

A Linda multiple-vehicle crash east of Yuba City on September 27 resulted in two injuries. The accident happened around 3:38 p.m. along North Beale Road between Griffith and Linda Avenues. The accident involved two Toyotas and a van, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), and blocked the roadway.

First responders were called to the accident site to determine the extent of injuries to two patients. One Toyota sedan sustained major front-end damage. The Toyota minivan exhibited major left rear damage, and the other van showed significant harm to its front end.

Tow trucks were called to the scene to remove the vehicles. The accident is under examination by CHP traffic accident investigators to determine which driver/drivers were at fault and how the crash happened.

How Can I Recover Compensation for Accident Injuries?

If another driver was the cause of your accident injuries, you may be able to recover compensation with the help of an accident attorney. An accident lawyer has the experience and resources to investigate a Linda multiple-vehicle crash to determine fault. The attorney can also gather evidence that supports your injury claim and can even negotiate with the at-fault person’s insurance company to help you recover maximum compensation.

Is There a Time Limit in Which I Can File a Claim?

In California, the statute of limitations for filing a claim for personal injury is two years from the date the accident occurred. If the claim is filed late, the court will refuse to consider it. Although two years might seem like a long time, the attorney needs to prove fault and collect evidence. In addition, waiting too long to contact an injury lawyer can mean the witnesses are difficult to locate and evidence has been erased. This is why it is important to begin your claim as soon as possible.

How Do I Calculate My Damages in a Multiple-Vehicle Crash?

Your attorney will help you do that. The lawyer can calculate your medical expenses, all of which are recoverable, and even determine future costs if your injury is still ongoing. In addition, the lawyer can calculate your lost wages if you haven’t been able to work because of your trauma. If you have to take a lower paying job, the difference in salary is included in your settlement. If you become permanently disabled and can no longer work, the lawyer will calculate your wages until retirement age.

In addition, with the help of a lawyer, you can recover compensation for both your physical and emotional pain and suffering. In many cases after a Linda multiple-vehicle crash, those who are injured sometimes require treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder, the cost of which is recoverable.
