Two People Extricated From Vehicle Following Crash With Major Injuries
When medics with the Klamath River Volunteer Fire Company arrived at the scene, they found the roadway blocked by vehicles and debris. Two people were trapped inside one of the vehicles and had to be extricated by firefighters. At least one person suffered major injuries in the crash.
Determination of Fault in Two-Vehicle Injury Collision
Both vehicles were towed, and the roadway was cleared at 3:37 p.m. An examination of the accident is underway by the CHP traffic collision division to find out what happened and to place fault.
Major Injuries in a Two-Vehicle Accident
It is possible for drivers and passengers involved in a two-vehicle car accident to suffer serious injuries. Vehicle damage in these types of collisions usually exceeds the value of the cars, and physical injuries range from minor scrapes and bruises to more serious trauma. The most common serious injuries suffered in auto accidents are cervical strain or sprain, concussions, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), spinal cord injuries, fractures and damage to internal organs.
Upholding Your Right to Compensation
It’s important to know your legal rights after being injured in a two-vehicle accident. This includes seeking medical care right away and legal assistance to obtain the evidence you need to prove fault in the collision. Evidence can include photographs of the scene, witness statements, checking area surveillance cameras to see if the accident was captured on film and police reports. In some cases, an expert may be hired to reconstruct the accident so that liability can be established.
How an Attorney Can Handle Your Case to Recover Compensation
