Roseville Road Accident Between Two Vehicles Causes Major Injury
A major injury accident was reported in North Highlands on May 3 caused by a collision between a passenger vehicle and a pickup. The crash happened shortly after 11:00 a.m. along Roseville Road between Orange Grove Avenue and Longview Drive. The traffic report by the California Highway Patrol (CHP) initially reported the accident as a Toyota Corolla that struck a power pole.
Accident Shuts Down Area Traffic Signals
It was discovered a few minutes later that the Corolla had been involved in a collision with a Nissan Frontier pickup, which caused the passenger vehicle to crash into the pole. Due to the collision, all the traffic lights in the area went out, and SMUD had to be called in for repairs. Both vehicles sustained enough damage that they had to be towed from the accident site.
One Person Suffers Major Injury in North Highlands Accident
One of the persons involved suffered a major injury and was transported to Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael for additional evaluation and medical attention. It is unknown at this time whether alcohol or drugs was a factor in the major injury accident. It is currently under investigation by the CHP to discover exactly what happened to cause the crash.
