- Mall Refresh Plan: Most of the buildings would be kept under this plan, but other spaces would be added, such as two hotels, an open space for events, and several employment/institutional areas.
- 21st Century Main Street Plan: This plan, which seems to be the most popular and ambitious, would keep some stores and add more retail, restaurants, and entertainment. It would also include multi-family dwellings and several hotels.
Specifics have yet to be worked out, and community input is encouraged in the development of the new mall area. With the welcome addition of a revamp of Sunrise Mall, it can be expected to add to traffic congestion and an increase in accidents.
