Man Fatally Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident Near Fresno
I’m Ed Smith, a Fresno car accident lawyer. A man was riding his bicycle south of Reedley during the morning hours of Sunday, October 15, 2017. An oncoming vehicle struck the man and fled the scene following the collision. Unfortunately, this would be the last bicycle ride the man would ever take due to the careless actions of a negligent motorist.
Our deepest thoughts and condolences are with the family members of Mr. beasley Jr. who passed away in this tragic hit-and-run accident.
What Happened?
A man was riding his bicycle northbound along Road 56, also known as Frankwood Avenue, at approximately 3:30 am. For unknown reasons, the man was hit by an oncoming vehicle. The motorist of the vehicle allegedly left the scene after the collision, leaving the innocent man to suffer traumatic and fatal injuries.
Was He Injured?
Emergency responders were dispatched to the area of the hit-and-run bicycle accident. They located the injured man upon arrival. Sadly, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
What Caused the Bicycle Accident?
The cause of the accident is not yet known. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is currently investigating the incident. A Traffic Collision Report is usually processed by officials within seven to ten calendar days. It is vital to contact an experienced Fresno car accident lawyer when a party has suffered injuries or even passed away in a hit-and-run accident. An experienced attorney can independently investigate the area of the collision and study the sequence of events leading up to the crash to shed light on the liable party.
Loved One Forever Remembered
Nelson Beasley Jr. was a dedicated family member and gifted individual. He was extremely talented in his artwork and even received awards at the Big Fresno Fair. Aside from art, he enjoyed playing basketball at Immanuel High School and Reedley College. He also loved taking rides on his bicycle and found tranquility riding the rural roads of the central valley. A GoFundMe page has been set up by the loved ones of Nelson Beasley Jr. to cover the expenses of his funeral.
Coping with Bereavement and Grief
People typically experience spiraling emotions that come and go randomly after hearing the heart-wrenching news of a loved one’s passing. All feelings are valid when a person is coping with bereavement. Keeping your emotions bundled up inside you can create more harm than good. Wrongful deaths resulting from hit-and-run accidents can stimulate a lot of frustration and anger. It is important to note that no one experiences grief alike. The key to coping with grief is taking care of yourself and having a support system. Being surrounded by those who care about you can assist you through your times of emotional distress and severe loss.
