Manteca Library Renovation
I’m Ed Smith, a Manteca auto accident attorney. You may have noticed that the Manteca Library is closed. Not to worry, it’s only temporary. The library is installing new flooring.
Many of us think that is really good news. Then we find out that in order to allow for a good installation, the library would be temporarily closed for as many as four weeks to give workers ample opportunity to move bookshelves, pull out all the furniture, computers and other equipment, tear out the old carpet and finally lay the new flooring.
The last day of regular library service was yesterday. The Library will resume regular operation on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 providing everything runs smoothly with the renovation process.
What if I Have A Library Book Due During That Time?
Manteca library staff indicated that our due dates will be adjusted to accommodate the renovation schedule. Therefore, we will not run the risk of incurring a bunch of late fees.
What Other Library Branches are Nearby?
During the temporary closure of the library, staff advises patrons to utilize the other various branches of the Stockton-San Joaquin County Library System. This would include options such as the Lathrop Library (450 Spartan Way, Lathrop – near Lathrop High School) and the Ripon Library located at 333 W. Main Street, Ripon.
After Manteca Library Renovation is Completed
Upon completion of the Manteca Library renovation, you and your family will be able to continue receiving the same level of quality service including access to the library’s Wi-Fi Internet connection, library patron computers, Preschool Storytimes and All About Baby program. The library will continue to offer a wide variety of educational and recreational programs for kids of all ages. We are looking forward to seeing the renovation process come to a successful conclusion. Can’t wait to come visit the new and improved library that we all love.
The Manteca library staff extends a big thank you to everyone for their understanding and patience during this time of renovation, and look forward to seeing you in late November or early December.
