Minor Injuries Reported in Modesto Area Accident
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported minor injuries after an auto accident in the Modesto area on the afternoon of Friday, June 4, 2021. The car crash happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. at Bangs Avenue and Spyres Way.
Details on the Accident Reported in the Modesto Area
A preliminary report by CHP traffic officials revealed that a black Toyota Supra was involved in a crash with an older white Chevrolet pickup truck. An American Medical Response (AMR) ambulance was dispatched to the scene to provide assistance to injured parties.
The Toyota allegedly sustained damage to the front right side of the vehicle. Conversely, the Chevrolet also sustained front-end damage. Additional details on the motor vehicle accident, including information on what caused it and the number of injured parties, were not immediately available.
What You Should Know About Traffic Collisions and Insurance Claims
Driving is more dangerous than ever in California, with more cars on the road, and the city of Modesto is no exception. The catastrophic wreckage, traumatic injuries, and even wrongful death that motor vehicle collisions may cause should serve as a message to the community for motorists to be more responsible. However, that is not always the case. When a driver fails to exercise due care to others and causes a traffic crash, it is essential for injured parties to know what their rights are under California law and how to bring a claim for financial compensation.
California is an at-fault state, meaning at-fault parties and their insurance companies may be held financially accountable for damages after a car accident. An injured party may seek financial compensation for economic and non-economic damages such as medical bills, wage loss, pain and suffering, and more. The unfortunate reality in today’s climate is that the insurance company representing the negligent driver may attempt to devalue any bodily injury claim filed against their insured or even outright deny it.
If you have been injured in a traffic collision caused by someone else’s negligence, the last thing you want to deal with during this difficult time is paperwork, deadlines, and difficult insurance companies. Having the services of an experienced Modesto personal injury lawyer can provide you the peace of mind you need knowing your case is in good hands and your best interests will be protected. Benefits of Working with an Experienced Attorney
When you retain a skilled injury lawyer for your personal injury claim, the attorney can provide various benefits for your claim. This includes:
- Having a deep understanding of personal injury law in California and how it may apply to your case
- Handling all communication with the insurers on your behalf
- Conducting a thorough investigation of the car accident and collecting critical evidence like police reports, video surveillance footage, vehicle damage, expert witness testimony, and more
- Providing guidance and an explanation of all legal options applicable toward the best course of action in your situation
- If all attempts at a fair settlement fail, your attorney will prepare a strong case to present in court to obtain a full and fair monetary award
Do not agree to providing a recorded statement or signing any authorization from the insurance company until you have consulted with a lawyer. There is a possibility that the settlement offer from the insurer is far less than what you should receive to cover all resulting losses. An injury lawyer can handle negotiations with your insurance company and that of the at-fault party to ensure you receive fair compensation for damages incurred.
