Deadly Motorcycle Accident Near Fairfield
On Saturday, October 24, 2020, one person sadly passed away after suffering injuries during a motorcycle accident near Fairfield. California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported that the accident happened shortly after sunset in a rural area of Solano and only involved one vehicle. Solano County officials have identified the motorcyclist as Michael Miller Sr, a 57-year-old man from Fairfield. The cause of the incident is under active investigation.
Crash Information
The collision reportedly occurred at around 8:00 p.m. on Mankas Corner road to the west of the intersection located at Ledgewood Road. Miller was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Mankas just east of Fairfield when he approached a tight curve in the roadway. According to accident witnesses, Miller apparently lost control of his vehicle as he was navigating the curve. The motorcycle ran off-road and traveled into a nearby trench, where it crashed into a concrete ledge.
Response
Multiple witnesses stopped at the scene and rushed to the motorcyclist in order to help. After being alerted about the crash, CHP rushed emergency medical responders out to the scene. Responding officials discovered Miller with serious injuries and had him transported to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. However, he tragically passed away while at the hospital.
