Motorcyclist Dies in Vallejo Multi-Vehicle Crash
According to officers of the Vallejo Police Department (VPD), a motorcyclist lost his life during a local car accident on the morning of Monday, June 10, 2019. The accident reportedly involved a motorcycle and a sedan. Authorities of the Solano County Sheriff’s Department have only identified the fatally injured man as a 38-year-old resident of San Pablo, pending the notification of the man’s family. The accident remains under investigation by VPD.
Crash Details
The collision reportedly happened at around 10:51 a.m. at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and 4th Street. A 2002 Honda CB900F motorcycle had been traveling south on Railroad Avenue. At the same time, a 2008 Infinity G35 was attempting to make a U-turn inside the intersection. Reports state that the motorcycle crossed over the roadway median and struck the other vehicle.
Response
VPD dispatched responders to the crash scene right away. When medical officials arrived, they discovered that the motorcyclist had suffered critical trauma. Responders attempted to perform life-saving procedures but could not revive the injured man, who passed away on-site.
Responders found two individuals in the Infinity, both with injuries. The 32-year-old driver of the vehicle was transported to a hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries, while the 27-year-old passenger was hospitalized with significant trauma. Updates on the condition of the seriously injured man have not been released by hospital staff.
Investigation
As police investigate this accident, they have stated that it is currently unclear whether or not drugs and/or alcohol were involved.
