Napa Accident Leaves Fairfield, Napa Residents Injured

On Wednesday, January 27, 2021, a Fairfield man and Napa woman were both seriously injured during a car crash that took place in Napa. According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), the accident involved two cars and happened at night on a local highway. Both injured parties were hospitalized after the incident. Updates on their conditions remain unavailable, and the crash is under investigation.

Crash Information

CHP states that the collision happened at around 7:45 p.m. at the intersection located at Highway 29 and Jameson Canyon Road. The Fairfield man was driving on Highway 29 when he attempted to perform a left-hand turn in order to enter Jameson Canyon road. As he was navigating the turn, his Kia sedan crashed into a northbound GMC being driven by a 54-year-old man from Napa. Both vehicles were significantly damaged during the crash.

Response

Response personnel arriving at the location of the crash discovered two people were seriously hurt. The Fairfield man, identified as a 25-year-old, was found with severe trauma and rushed to the Queen of the Valley Hospital for immediate emergency care. The Napa woman, who had been a passenger in the GMC, was determined to have suffered moderate injuries and was taken to the same hospital. The driver of the GMC refused medical attention at the scene and the extent of his trauma was not reported.

Investigation of Napa Accident

As officers continue to look into this accident, police have stated that the Kia may have entered the intersection against a red light. Additionally, officers indicated that they do not believe either of the involved drivers were intoxicated at the time of the crash and that all parties were properly wearing seatbelts.

Often, car accidents like this one are more complicated than they appear and may have been caused by multiple factors. In many cases, collisions happen because of things that aren’t under driver control, like defective stoplights, poorly designed roads, vehicle product malfunctions, and more. In these situations, parties other than either of the involved drivers may be financially liable. Such parties include governments responsible for roadway maintenance, vehicle part manufacturers and retailers, and more.

Calling an Attorney

Being hurt during a crash can be highly expensive. Not only do crash survivors often need to pay for various medical treatments, ambulance rides, and hospital stays, but they frequently also lose the ability to work either permanently or for a significant amount of time, resulting in lost wages.

In order to make sure that you receive fair compensation for these economic damages, it’s critical to reach out to a skilled Napa personal injury lawyer. Having an attorney on your side is a crucial part of holding at-fault parties responsible and claiming the payments you deserve for your losses.
