Natomas Fatal Pedestrian Accident Investigation Underway

A tragic incident unfolded in North Natomas as authorities responded to a fatal pedestrian accident on November 29. The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. at the Northgate Boulevard intersection with Turnstone Drive, according to the Sacramento Police Department. Although life-saving measures were performed on the female pedestrian, she was declared dead at the scene. 

Driver Charged in Fatal Pedestrian Accident

The driver involved in the collision, age 50,  remained at the scene. However, he was found to have been under the influence at the time the accident occurred and was placed under arrest. He was taken to the central jail in Sacramento and booked.

Police Investigating Deadly Accident

The Sacramento Police Department and crime scene investigators have taken charge of the ongoing investigation. The area was cordoned off to facilitate meticulous scene processing, including interviews with witnesses and a thorough canvassing of the surrounding area while the investigation was underway. Roadways in the vicinity were reopened to the public early the following morning.

Identity of Women in Fatal Pedestrian Accident to Be Released

The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the pedestrian’s identity once their family has been notified.
