Pedestrian Injured by North Highlands Fleeing Driver on Orange Grove Avenue

A troubling North Highlands fleeing driver accident occurred at Orange Grove and Watt avenues on the afternoon of April 7. The driver of the vehicle struck a pedestrian near a gas station around 5:00 p.m. before fleeing the scene.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the injured pedestrian was left blocking the roadway before being transported to Mercy San Juan Medical Center for treatment by the Sacramento Fire Department’s first responders. Fortunately, another pedestrian provided authorities with a description of the vehicle, including its license plate number, which could prove crucial in identifying the driver.

CHP traffic accident investigators are currently handling the case, working to piece together details and locate the driver responsible for the collision. Authorities urge anyone with further information about the incident to come forward.
