Fairfield Rollover Accident Injures One
One person was sent to the hospital after a Fairfield rollover accident that occurred on Saturday, February 8, 2020. The collision happened in the morning at a location on the eastern end of the city and is reportedly still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Additionally, only one car was involved in this crash, and no other individuals were injured during the collision.
Crash Information
The crash took place at 8:45 a.m. on the westbound side of Highway 12 near the intersection of Beck Avenue. Authorities have not yet reported details about the events leading up to the accident but indicated that two separate Fairfield Fire Department crews assisted with accident response. Responders reportedly found one person with significant injuries and had them transported by ground ambulance to a local trauma center. According to medical officials, the injuries were not life-threatening.
Rollover Accidents
Statistics reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration show that rollovers are a very dangerous type of accident. These crashes cause a disproportionately high number of fatal and severe injuries and a higher chance of causing major trauma than most other types of collisions. This is due to a few different factors. However, one of the key reasons that rollovers can be dangerous is that vehicles are often not able to withstand the impact. In particular, vehicle roofs are often not strong enough to keep occupants safe, leaving them with what are called “roof crush injuries.”
The companies that manufacture passenger vehicles are expected to make sure that their products are safe. For this reason, the company is often liable when the roof of a vehicle isn’t able to protect drivers or passengers. By filing a personal injury claim against the manufacturer of the vehicle, collision survivors are often able to claim compensation for a wide variety of losses.
Accident Damages
Car accident injuries can affect your life in many different ways. People who suffer injuries often need to have extensive medical care that can include multiple procedures and surgeries. Afterward, survivors may need to undergo physical therapy sessions and/or take medications for a long period of time. During the recovery process, it can be difficult or even impossible for crash survivors to participate in activities they care about. In some circumstances, crash injuries can even keep people from being able to go to work, resulting in lost income.
These issues can be serious, and many people worry about how they’ll be able to recover their health when they can’t afford the necessary medical procedures. In order to make sure that you can move forward with your life after experiencing a traumatic accident, it’s important to reach out to a personal injury lawyer who can help you recover payments from at-fault parties and/or insurance companies.
