Pedestrian Death in Auburn Reported on Edgewood Road

A pedestrian death occurred Thursday night in Auburn when a 73-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle. Officers with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported the incident at around 8:17 p.m. along Edgewood Road near Blitz Lane, where a Ford van collided with the woman in the eastbound lane. Despite the life-saving efforts by emergency responders, the woman, a resident of Orangevale, was pronounced dead at Sutter Roseville Medical Center.
