Driver Flees Scene of Rio Linda Pedestrian Accident
A hit-and-run driver of a pickup caused injuries in a Rio Linda pedestrian accident on December 2. The collision happened around 11:23 a.m. at 26th Street and Elkhorn Boulevard. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers who responded to the accident scene thought the pedestrian was a transient. The condition of the injured pedestrian was not reported.
Authorities Seek Driver in Rio Linda Pedestrian Accident
The individual who phoned the police to report the incident said they had a crash video. Sacramento Fire Department officials called back, saying the vehicle was a black Ford Ranger. However, the license plate on the pickup was associated with a ’96 Mazda pickup. The plate is believed to have been either stolen or lost. The CHP traffic collision unit is investigating to locate the vehicle and driver and determine how the accident occurred.
