Celebrating Mardi Gras at Roseville Beignets and Po-Boy Festival

Get ready to celebrate Mardi Gras at the Roseville Beignets and Po-Boy Festival. This event is being sponsored by Big Al Sams, host at iHeart Radio and Scott Alvord, Roseville’s City Council Member on February 8. The festival is being held at 2201 Cottage Way at the Howe Avenue Community Center in Sacramento from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will be fun for the entire family. From mouthwatering New Orleans Louisiana Cajun and Creole to Soul Foods, Southern BBQ, Latin foods, and Asian/Cajun Fusion. Entertainment will be provided with comedians, dancers in fantastic costumes, and electrifying New Orleans dance music that will make you put down your Po-Boy, grab a partner, and start dancing. If that isn’t enough, there will be a contest to find the best chicken sandwich around.

Alcoholic Beverages Must Be Paid for in Advance

Those working at the event will not be accepting cash for drinks, so if you want to purchase them, you have to do it in advance. Daiquiris, beer, wine, and a selection of exotic alcoholic drinks served in New Orleans are available. You can pre-pay for your drinks at the Po-Boy Festival and select from the extensive food menu.

General Admission for Roseville Beignets and Po-Boy Festival

General admission at the Roseville Beignets and Po-Boy Festival costs $15, plus $2.55 for those 18 and older. Seniors 55 and up and teens between 13 and 17 can get in for $10, plus a fee of $2.24. Children 12 and under are free. If you wait to purchase tickets at the door, they will cost $20 but expect an added fee. VIP tables are available for parties of four or eight. The four-person VIP table costs $500 plus a $32.07 fee, but it comes with a lot of great food and drinks. Included is your choice of four entrees, chicken and sausage gumbo, beignets and mini king cakes, and four sides. Four daiquiris and an equal number of beers, sodas, and waters are also included, along with four event T-shirts. Double everything for a reserved eight-person table that costs $1,000 plus an added fee of $62.50. There is a $10 fee for parking imposed by the venue, so you might want to carpool. Remember, if you plan to drink, it is a good idea to call an Uber or other rideshares to get home.

Charity Proceeds

Money raised by the Roseville Beignets and Po-Boy Festival benefits programs supported by Queens of Africa USA for “Women and Children of Domestic Violence” and “It Takes a Community and Village to Raise our Children.” Donations are tax-deductible.

Help From a Seasoned Lawyer

When you are injured by negligence, having an experienced lawyer by your side can help. In injury accidents caused by another driver or entity, you are entitled to place a claim for fair compensation. However, your claim must be proved. At my office, we send investigators to the accident site to uncover the evidence you need. They talk to witnesses and check the police report for mistakes. The investigators look for video footage from nearby traffic cameras and businesses. They also perform accident reconstruction, which shows how the collision occurred. Once we have gathered all the evidence, our lawyers will construct a strong case to recover financial compensation for you. We use this evidence when dealing with the insurance company on your behalf or to present in civil court if necessary.

Roseville Personal Injury Lawyer

I’m Ed Smith, a Roseville personal injury lawyer. No one goes out to an event expecting to be injured, but it happens. A negligent driver can run a red light or cut off your car, and you find yourself with an injury. If this happens to you, phone me at (916) 921-6400 for my free and friendly advice. I can also be reached at (800) 404-5400 or by filling out the online form at AutoAccident.com.

I’ve successfully represented many residents of Roseville over my 37-year career as an injury lawyer to get the compensation they deserve. Some of the areas I work in are wrongful deaths, traumas such as brain injuries and traffic collisions.
