Multi-Vehicle Collision in Roseville

A seven-vehicle collision occurred at a busy intersection in Roseville during the afternoon of Monday, February 13, 2017. Unfortunately, five people, including a hit-and-run driver, suffered traumatic injuries from the crash.

What Happened?

A Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department deputy observed two motorists arguing on Cirby Way in the vicinity of Vernon Street. One of the drivers indicated that the woman driving in her RV crashed into their vehicle. The deputy then asked both drivers to pull over and exchange information. One of the drivers complied with the deputy’s request. However, the woman driving in the RV did not and moved away from the scene.

Hit-and-Run Driver Causes Multi-Vehicle Collision

The deputy began following the RV woman to obtain her vehicle license plate. However, the incident later escalated to a high-speed pursuit. The woman was evading the deputy by traveling at a high rate of speed and running red light signals along the way. When the woman approached the intersection of Baseline Road and Fiddyment Road, she crashed her RV into other vehicles. Upon impact, the woman’s RV flipped over and caught fire. Thankfully, authorities and bystanders could remove the woman from her burning RV.

Were They Okay?
