Rural Marysville Area Collision Kills One
California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers reported that a fatal collision occurred in Yuba County northeast of Marysville on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. The crash took place on a rural roadway and involved only one vehicle and cost a 33-year-old man his life. Officials of the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department have not yet reported the identity of the fatally injured man and are still notifying his family about the tragic collision. Additionally, CHP officers are investigating the collision to determine what may have caused it to happen. My sincere condolences are sent out to the fatally injured man’s family and friends as they endure this difficult period.
Fatal Collision Details
Officers stated that the 33-year-old man had been driving westbound on Marysville Road to the west of the Bullards Bar Reservoir in a Ford model van. The driver reportedly entered a curve in the roadway but failed to navigate it safely. The van drove through a roadside guardrail before crashing into a tree. After the vehicle struck the tree, it overturned and rolled down an embankment. While the van was rolling, the driver was ejected through a vehicle window. Officers say that they are unsure of when the crash happened as there were no accident witnesses.
Medical officials who responded to the scene found that the driver sustained critical injuries during the incident and the man was tragically declared deceased at the crash site. Responders also found a dog inside the car and reported that the animal survived the accident.
Investigation
Investigators with CHP say that they are unsure of what caused this accident. As the investigation continues, no suspected factors have been reported by officials. Single-vehicle accidents are common and can happen for a wide variety of reasons including medical emergencies, faulty vehicle parts such as brakes or tires, hazards in the road, poor roadway lighting, and more.
Wrongful Death Damages
Losing somebody that you depend on can change your whole life. Families who lose their primary income earner can be left unsure of how they will continue to pay their bills and dependents may be left without a place to live. However, the families and dependents of people who lose their lives in car accidents can often claim money to pay for their losses by filing a wrongful death claim.
Dealing with a sudden death can mean dealing with a lot of intense emotions all at once, and this can feel overwhelming and make it difficult to complete even normal daily routines. While intense feelings of grief are normal and a part of the healing process, it is important to call a Marysville wrongful death lawyer right away. The sooner a lawyer can begin working on your case, the abler they are to make sure you get the payments you deserve. To learn a bit more about wrongful death damages, see the below video:
