Sacramento Police Department Announces Bicycle Reunification Day
Sacramento Police Department will be hold a viewing for the public of bikes that were discovered in a local storage unit.
Where Did Officers Find the Bicycles?
Police officers arrived along the 3300 block of Northgate Boulevard last month. They were there to serve a search warrant. The search warrant involved stolen property at a storage unit. After arriving on the scene, police discovered more than 50 bikes inside a storage unit. The bicycles were confiscated and taken for safekeeping to the property department of the Sacramento Police Department.
Bicycles Inventoried for Potential Return to Owners
Since the seizure, each bicyle has been patiently inventoried by authorities. Some of the biycles have already been reunited with their rightful owners. There are several remaining bikes that authorites want to link to an owner.
How Do I Find My Missing or Stolen Bike?
In order to take part in the official bicycle viewing, you are REQUIRED to have the following information:
- Bring your Police Report Number or a copy of the police report for the stolen bike.
- Be prepared to give a description of the bike that was stolen
- Bring a photo and/or provide the serial number of the stoken bike
